I was a farm adviser in New Zealand and I had a view as big as this, but in my panoramic view I couldn’t see one other house. Now, here I look out of the window and there’s more than twice the population of New Zealand. As a flat it’s just a concrete block, but being up high and having a wonderful view it just lifts your spirits. Being a transvestite I feel that it is important to be accepted. There is a little bit of a problem with antisocial behaviour and low level violence here… I do get occasionally threatened. It’s a shame really because it just means that you are constantly fighting to defend your own territory. The fact that Canary Wharf is seen as a target is a little bit of a worry because I want to sort of have a quiet life. I don’t want to be next to some idiot who is gonna put a nuclear device in or something absolutely ridiculous. I hope nobody does.
