BIOGRAPHY
Born in Naples in 1975, Gigi Cifali is a photographer based in Milan and London, where he earned a Master’s degree in Photojournalism from the University of Westminster.
His works reflect on recent history, collective memory and its taboos, and environmental issues: “LoW 842” (2018-19), “HDPE” (2018), “Images and Signs: Italy, 1969-89. Practices of Memory” (2013-15), “New Vesuvian Landscapes” (2013), “End of Dream (Costa Concordia wreck)” (2012), “Anthropocene arvorum ingenia” (2009- 15), “Absence of Water” (2006-14).
